The IMPBA Internats, which is one of the premier boat events and the US Nationals in R/C boating was held in Seville, Ohio by the Performance Model Boat Club. They did an incredible job with this huge event. It was their first and would imagine they will host many more in years to come. In fact, this was the first time the Nationals have been held in Ohio.
There were 303 entries at this event with many of the top racers in the country in attendance. Racers traveled from 17 different states and 3 different countries including France to attend this premier event
Our Team racers did a spectacular job this year and took home some serious hardware for the Team Aquacraft trophy case.

AquaCraft Models "Top Speed" takes the "top spot" once again at the 2006 NAMBA Nationals
Chris Wittrig, running the new AquaCraft Models Top Speed, won the highly competitive 20 Mod Tunnel Hull class at the 2006 NAMBA Nationals held in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, on July 8-9.
Chris checked out and put on a driving clinic, taking the convincing win. What's even more impressive is that this win makes it two National Championships in a row for the AquaCraft Top Speed design... more proof that the AquaCraft team doesn't sit on its laurels but is constantly working to improve the AquaCraft line of championship contenders!
Top Speed 2 Challenge
AquaCraft sponsored the "Top Speed 2 Challenge" at both National events held in July 2005.
Jerry Dunlap at Rollinsford
The Top Speed 2 Team Challenge and Champions Challenge events were enthusiastically received at both the NAMBA Nationals in Rollinsford, NH and the IMPBA Internats in Jackson, TN. The 5 team slots filled up very quickly weeks before the National events were to take place.
5 Top Speed 2 Tunnel Hulls were identically prepared. Each TS2 hull was a different color. This was an "IROC" event. All used O.S. .21XM Outboard engines, O'Donnell 50% Boat Fuel, 440 Props-4-U Propellers. Team AquaCraft prepared each hull and tuned each engine for all 5 boats to perform as identical as possible. Racing proved to be driver ability instead of superior speed and handling.
The TS2 Challenge and Champion Challenge consist of 5 teams with 4 drivers per team. Each member drove a enduro race against the other team member. Total laps were accumulated after 4 rounds of racing. Team with the most laps wins the Challenge.
Champions Challenge consisted of this years 5 National Champions in the top 5 largest classes held during the Nationals.
The Team Champions in Rollinsford were all from the Bay Area in California and the Champions winner was from Florida. The Team Champions at the IMPBA Internats were all sponsored drivers from different locations around the country. The IMPBA Champions Challenge winner won with consistent driving in each round.
AquaCraft presented trophies to the Team Challenge and the Champion Challenge winners at both National event race banquet.
